(DUBLIN, Ohio) – The City of Dublin will host a public open house on Thursday, June 14 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Dublin Community Recreation Center to invite residents, land owners and the business community to participate in the City’s Community Plan amendment process.
According to City Planner Justin Goodwin the open house will provide an overview of the Community Plan Amendment project objectives, process and opportunities for public review and involvement.
“In order to adapt to changing needs of the community, the plan has been updated every few years,” said Goodwin. But it’s the format for the latest update that is expected to make the document more of a “living” policy guide than ever before.” Goodwin said for the first time, Dublin’s community plan will feature a web-based format rather than the printed “static” document produced for the 1997 and 2007 updates.
The web-based Community Plan process also allows stakeholders to view, review and comment at their leisure.
“It opens the door to citizen engagement, is customer-driven and provides access and transparency,” said Goodwin.
The City’s Planning Division will demonstrate the new Community Plan interactive website and will provide stations for participants to interact with the site and provide feedback.
